Modes
Modes enable the investor to see a range of transactional data based on a combination of:
- Whether the position is open or closed; and
- Whether the date range is up until now or through a projected date.
The following shows the transactions included for each mode:

| Active | Open positions as of now |
| Lifetime | Closed and open positions as of now |
| Active Projected | Open and projected positions through a projected date |
| Lifetime Projected | Closed, open, and projected positions through a projected date |
For Active Projected and Lifetime Projected modes, you are prompted to provide an effective date that sets the horizon for planning. AV will assume liquidation of all asset positions as of that date and will include in calculations all transactions through that date.
